For every occasion, there is a reason for celebration
For every celebration, there is special gift attached to it
The one year old baby girl wants her first doll
The five year old boy wants his first ball
The eighteen year old boy wants his first three piece suit
The twenty one year old girl wants her first dinner gown
The twenty five year old first class graduate wants his first car keys
The twenty five year old bride wants her first kitchen set
The fifty year old mum, wants her first real overseas vacation
The seventy year old man wants to seat in his own home with his grandkids
The hundred year old dead heroine wants to be remembered by all for her servitude
Whether its valentine, Marriage, Birthdays, Anniversaries, launchings and munchngs
There is a gift for all occasions under the sun
Even Christmas, demands something really special….
So God, says its Christmas…What do I give the earth
For all that inhibit it therein are all mine to love…
God’s gift like himself had to be exquisite, wonderful and PERFECT
BUT…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..
What makes a gift Perfect….
The perfect Gift has to be valuable
Something when seen or held makes the receiver special
The Perfect gift has to be appropriate
Something that fits the occasion and lubricates the relationship
The Perfect Gift should be selfless
Something that doesn’t anticipate a return
The perfect Gift has to be Evocative
Something that moves the receiver to give an emotional response
The Perfect Gift should have landed from the skies
But the perfect gift came in the womb of a virgin
The Perfect Gift should have come to or through a King or Royalty
But the perfect gift came as the son of a carpenter
The Perfect Gift should have been wrapped with the best of posh materials
But the perfect came in wrapped in swaddling clothes
The perfect Gift should have come with a special delivery entrounge
But the perfect Gift came escorted by shepherds and herdsmen
The perfect gift was born in a manger, sent to give hope and life to strangers
The Perfect Gift has eyes to see all our fears and worries
The perfect Gift has ears to hear our deepest groaning of prayer
The perfect gift has hands to comfort us in our troubles
The Perfect Gift had feet come meet us when we worship
His name is so special, each letter so symbolic
Every thought of him makes you feel like Silk
His name is J- Jehovah , the Almighty one
His name is E- Emmanuel, He’s always with us
His name is S, Shallom, Our very own Peace
His name is U….I’ll come back to U
His name is S, Savior of all mankind
And yes I did not forget about U..Yes You
For without U, we cannot spell Jesus
For U he was born, he was bruised,
He was killed, he died, He Rose, and He lives
For Without HIM, we are absolutely nothing….
I meant to say I am nothing without Him
I am like a king without a crown
who has no palace or subjects, and his face has a frown
I am like a soldier without ammunition
Who has no gun or commander,
And helpless in war before any nation
I am like a lion without its teeth
who has no mane or roar, and the youngest zebras mock at its feet
I am nothing, like the eagle without its wing
like the slender wasp without its sting
I am like a tree without its leaves and branches
who has no life, and reduced to a stick in the harmattan
I am like a bird without a nest
condemned to endless wandering all the days of its life.
I am like a doctor without his stethoscope
all his operations are void and with no hope
I am like a chair with no legs
I tumble down at the slightest touch of a finger
I am like a building without a foundation
like a river with no direction
like a country without a constitution
a man eat man society
Where lawlessness and immorality is rife
I am nothing without the gift that’s describe in just one WORD……PERFECT
The Perfect Gift is the Love of a Father,
Expressed by a Son on the Cross
And Manifested to all men on Christmas day
in the form of a baby… And
HIS NAME IS ……..JESUS
